Library

An integral part of the scientific institution was and remains the library of the State University "IEP" of the National Academy of Sciences as an informational, educational and educational structural unit, which directs its activities to the provision of operational, modern and complete information.

The topic of filling the library's book collections was determined by the tasks of the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, established on July 25, 1936 on the basis of the VUAMLIN Institute of Economics, the Institute of Agricultural Economics of the National Agricultural Research Service of the Ukrainian SSR, and the Bureau of Economic Research, and then on May 20, 1938, reorganized by merging with the Council for Study of production forces of the Ukrainian SSR Academy of Sciences and part of the Institute of Demography and Sanitary Statistics, is a publication on economics, economic theory, political economy, agricultural economics, statistics, demography, sociology, various reference and encyclopedic literature.

Currently, the fund of the scientific library of the State University "Institute of Economics and Forecasting" has 34,759 items. books, 23,081 approx. journals and 11,297 abstracts of theses of candidates and doctors of economic sciences, which can be viewed in the library's reading room.

The library also keeps rare books published before 1917 and magazines from 1958. In particular, a complete selection of all issues of the country's oldest economic magazine "Economics of Ukraine", which began its publication as "Economics of Soviet Ukraine"

The library has an electronic catalog. Part of the electronic records of the publications are presented on the website of the NBU named after Vernadskyi.
